The Kick Off Meeting 17-20 November 2016 in Warsaw in Poland
We have had the first meeting in the framework of the project “ICT for EKOSYNERGII seniors.” According to the plan it was held in Poland, and was organized by the project coordinator – the Social Ecological Institute. For four days we hosted representatives of the project’s partners: MobilEducation fro. Sweden, Turkish TROY Environmental and the Center for Adult Education from Austria – SPES Zukunftsakademie. The meeting space was made available by the Wawerski University of the Third Age (WUTW), also participating in the project. Dozens of people from WUTW met with representatives of SIE and with foreign partners. Each organization briefly introduced itself. Let’s start with the host, Wawerski University of the Third Age. It allowing access to numerous courses, lectures and activities it provides seniors a comprehensive intellectual and physical development. Seniors can for instance learn foreign languages, participate in computer classes, in lectures, gymnastics, nordnic walking, trips in the country and abroad. The activities of the university break the stereotypes associated with seniors through their active participation in the life of the neighborhood and the city. After this presentation the guests introduced themselves, and responded to the many questions asked by WUTW members.
